TORONTO - Oxford University Press launched two new series from Rubicon to excited crowds at this weekend’s Reading for the Love of It conference in Toronto. With large, striking displays anchoring their booth, OUP showcased the new BOLDPRINT Kids Graphic Readers and BOLDPRINT Graphic Novels to record-setting crowds. The two new series are the latest additions to Rubicon’s award-winning BOLDPRINT collection and had everyone talking.
“BOLDPRINT is such a terrific brand that anytime there is a new launch for the collection, it generates a lot of buzz with educators”, remarked Duncan Lane, OUP’s National Sales and Marketing Manager. “Especially with educators like David Booth, Larry Swartz and Kathy Lundy behind the project.”
Each title in the two series was carefully leveled and many of the topics include curriculum links to math, science, and social studies. Notes for literacy learning are built into the Graphic Readers and Graphic Novels, with thought provoking activities that challenge students to think beyond the storyline – making them an ideal literacy resource for teachers of all levels.
Series editors David Booth, Larry Swartz and Kathy Lundy were all present during the two-day event, drawing large crowds to their speeches and bringing added attention to the launch of the Graphic Readers and Graphic Novels. If the buzz during the conference is any indication, the BOLDPRINT Graphic Readers and BOLDPRINT Graphic Novels look on their way to becoming successful new components of the popular BOLDPRINT collection.
