OTTAWA, ON – Rubicon Publishing is proud to announce that Rubicon author Michael Stewart has launched a new interactive anti-bullying program called Bully For You in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Bully for You is an online tool to teach anti-bullying, character development, and new media literacy — all housed in a secure, self-contained social networking environment.
Over the course of the Bully for You program, students will use secure social networking sites, instant messaging, videos, email, and more to obtain clues that will help them solve a mystery of a student who has gone missing. Students will learn all about various types of bullying as they explore the program and are educated on how to respond if they ever find themselves confronted with bullying in their own life.
“Despite bullying having migrated to the Internet, there are few online tools that combat the behaviour. Bully For You fills this void, providing an immersive experience within a social network where students must take action and stop bullying before it escalates,” said Michael Stewart. “Kids learn better through discovery. They are engaged by good storytelling, and they want to participate in these stories in ways that are relevant to them, onscreen. These are the key principles upon which we founded Klikables, and we hope Bully For You will be the first of many such projects that entertain as they educate.”
Bully For You is available through Scholastic in Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
