TORONTO, ONTARIO – David Booth was the recipient of the 2011 Outstanding Educator Award, presented by the Phi Delta Kappa Chapter, University of Toronto, on Thursday April 28.
The Outstanding Educator Award celebrates the achievements and accomplishments of an individual (or project) who has had a profound, positive impact on public education. Dr. Booth was recognized for his writings, research, and presentations, two of which have been specifically for Phi Delta Kappa’s Research Series.
The Rubicon family extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Booth. We are extremely proud of his extensive contributions to education, as classroom teacher, researcher, consultant, author, and speaker. We are honoured that Dr. Booth continues to be actively involved with Rubicon Publishing and to share with us his expertise as author, consultant, and mentor.
Dr. Booth is a renowned educator and Professor Emeritus in education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto (OISE) and Chair of the Literacy Centre at the Schulich School of Education of Nipissing University.
