RUBICON AUTHOR DAVID BOOTH CONDUCTS WEBINAR ON USING GRAPHIC TEXTS IN THE CLASSROOM

NEW YORK, NY – Rubicon Author, David Booth, ran a two-day webinar as part of Brightpoint Literacy’s Professional Learning Series illustrating the uses of graphic texts in the classroom. Educators from all over the United States participated in the webinar entitled “Go Graphic! Increasing Achievement with Graphic Text” on October 6th and 7th.
Booth walked through the different features of graphic texts and how they can be successfully integrated into any literacy initiative. Providing activities and comprehensive reading strategies, Booth provided an easily reproducible framework for educators to use in their own classrooms.
Touching on key issues such as how to engage students in meaningful conversations, how to get boys reading and the literary merit of graphic texts, the webinar provided a complete overview of graphic texts in the classroom.
