MELBOURNE, AU – Rubicon author Jeff Wilhelm took his expertise to Australia for a month long trip to introduce his new teaching resource “Inquiring Minds Learn to Read and Write” to the educators down under.
Wilhelm spent over a month traveling through Australia giving workshops and presenting on the benefits of inquiry-based learning. His speaking engagements included presentations and workshops on social action and inquiry in Hobart at AATE National Conference, an all-day workshop at the English Teachers Association of NSW Conference in Sydney, and acting as keynote speaker at the Victorian Association for the Teaching of English (VATE) near Melbourne.
“I find Australian teachers to be very friendly to the notion of creating inquiry-oriented learning environments and to teaching literacy within these environments.” said Wilhelm of his experience. “We had huge success with the books there, selling them out to educators from across Australia and several Asian countries. Of course, having an Australian co-author was helpful too!”
Jeff Wilhelm’s book “Inquiring Minds Learn to Read and Write” was released in Australia in August of this year.
