RUBICON ILLUSTRATOR AND GRAPHIC DESIGNER SHARES ART WITH ALL
March 5, 2010
TORONTO, ON – Rubicon illustrator and graphic designer Louise Ferguson has been sharing her art in live painting showcases all over the city of Toronto. Her most recent exhibit was a collaboration with Sing Studios at C’est What in Toronto last night.
Nestled in a little alcove beside the stage, Louise prominently displayed her easel so that the audience could watch her capture the artists as they performed. With just two songs to illustrate three to four artists, Louise had to manipulate graphite, charcoal, and wash quickly in order to capture everyone.
“For me music and art have always been interlinked by energy and inspiration,” Louise said. “The event at C’est What was part of a collaboration with Sing Studios and Gallery to showcase the organic link between the two. At this show, and all shows I paint live at, I set out to make the art part of the performance, so the audience gets an enhanced experience of the energy created.”
The final ten paintings from the event will be on display both on Louise’s blog and in the gallery located at Sing! Gallery at 327 Kingston Road in Toronto.
