Marian Small is an internationally renowned mathematics educator, author, and professional learning consultant. Dr. Small, whose career in education has spanned more than four decades, is considered one of the most influential math educators in Canada. She has authored or co-authored more than 100 math resources and travelled to mathematics classrooms around the world to provide consultation focused on improving understanding and performance in K–12 mathematics.
Michelle Skene is an innovative educational leader with over 25 years of experience in mathematics and assessment. She currently serves as a National Math Consultant with Rubicon, a Savvas Company. Michelle’s career includes roles as a school principal, instructional leader, and math coach in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. She has also worked as a professor at the University of Ottawa and contributed to various Ministry of Education projects, including the “Guide to Effective Instruction in Math.”
