Calling All Math Teams and Teachers! Join Marian Small for the MathUP Summer Institute, a full-day, in-person professional learning event designed to deepen your understanding and elevate your use of MathUP Classroom and MathUP Student.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Developing Numerate Students: Moves you can make, using MathUP Classroom and MathUP Student, to develop more numerate students.
- Teaching with Intention: Use MathUP Classroom and get into MathUP Student to ensure students “hear the message” you are trying to get across.
- Assessing What Matters: Ensure that assessments of your students are as reliable and informative as possible.
Your registration includes lunch and an opportunity to collaborate with educators from across the province in a rich, engaging learning environment.
Speaker: Marian Small is an internationally renowned mathematics educator, author, and professional learning consultant. Dr. Small, whose career in education has spanned more than four decades, is considered one of the most influential math educators in Canada. She has authored or co-authored more than 100 math resources and travelled to mathematics classrooms around the world to provide consultation focused on improving understanding and performance in K–12 mathematics.
